EquiShure

EquiShure® from Kentucky Equine Research (KER) is a time-released buffer designed to maintain a stable pH in the horse’s hindgut — where up to 70% of energy is derived from fermentation. High-grain or high-fructan diets can cause an acidic shift in the hindgut, favoring lactic-acid-producing bacteria and leading to subclinical acidosis, which increases the risk of colic, laminitis, weight loss, and behavioral changes.

EquiShure® uses patented encapsulation technology to ensure targeted delivery directly to the hindgut, where it supports lactic-acid-utilizing bacteria and promotes the conversion of lactic acid into beneficial volatile fatty acids (VFA) — a more efficient and natural energy source.

  • Targets hindgut acidosis in horses on high-grain or lush-pasture diets

  • Maintains healthy microbial balance and gut pH

  • Reduces risk of colic, laminitis, weight loss, and behavioral vices

  • Supports optimal digestion, performance, and comfort

  • Scientifically proven and patented by Kentucky Equine Research (KER)

  • Ideal for performance, sport, and metabolic horses under stress

  • Available in 1.25 kg, 7.5 kg, and 18 kg sizes

Feeding Directions

Top-dress EquiShure® on the daily grain ration. For best results, divide the recommended daily amount evenly among meals.
